Scholarship Scope

Five students who qualify for the International Outstanding Achievement Scholarship will receive a monthly stipend of 12,000 TL for one year (12 months). Additionally, throughout their studies, the scholarship covers accommodation expenses, general health insurance, round-trip airfare, and tuition fees, as detailed below. These expenses are jointly covered under a cooperation protocol between the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and our foundation.

  • The application, evaluation, selection, and university placement processes for candidates,
  • The necessary correspondence with relevant institutions for the visa and residence permit procedures of the scholarship recipients,
  • The registration of general health insurance for the scholarship recipients and the annual insurance premium payments,
  • Payment of university tuition fees for scholarship recipients within the scope of the Turkey Scholarships,
  • Transportation expenses for the scholarship recipients' initial arrival in Turkey and return after graduation,
  • Academic monitoring and scholarship procedures for the scholarship recipients in accordance with the Turkey Scholarships Scholarship Procedures Regulation,
  • If deemed appropriate, providing scholarship recipients with opportunities to benefit from the International Student Academy and other academic, social, and cultural activities,
  • Monthly cash scholarship payments during the scholarship period, including the duration of Turkish language education,
  • Coverage of monthly accommodation expenses for scholarship recipients throughout the scholarship period, including the duration of Turkish language education,
  • Coverage of the scholarship recipients’ one-year Turkish preparatory education (TÖMER) expenses.

Who Can Apply?, What Are the Evaluation Criteria?

 

In the applications within the YTB calendar:

Students who have succeeded in YTB exams and wish to receive the “Outstanding Achievement Scholarship” by choosing our university;

Successful international students who apply to our university through YTB can apply for the International Outstanding Achievement Scholarship. Applications are made to YTB in accordance with the cooperation protocol between YTB and our foundation. Accordingly, the selection among the candidates will be made by considering factors such as the candidates' academic abilities, interests and knowledge levels, social skills, and any national or international awards, with the application documents, pre-screening, written exam, and/or oral exam methods being used based on the country of application, the number of applications, and similar factors. The most successful students selected will be communicated to our foundation by YTB.

They will be eligible for the “Outstanding Achievement Scholarship” if they document that they are in the top 1% in national or international exams in their countries.

In applications outside the YTB calendar;
Students who wish to study at our university and can document that they are in the top 1% in national or international exams in their home country can apply through the NEVA scholarship application system and become eligible for the "Outstanding Achievement Scholarship."

Criteria Required for Scholarship Continuation

 

Language Preparatory Class
  • The scholarship initially covers 100% of the language preparatory program.
  • If the student fails in the first year of the language preparatory program, the scholarship will be reduced to 50% for the following year.
  • If the student fails in the second year of the language preparatory program, the scholarship will be terminated.
Situations Where the Scholarship Will Be Paid at 100%
  • The scholarship starts with 100% coverage in the first year.
  • For students with a GPA above 2.50 will continue to receive 100% of the scholarship in the following year (except for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry). 
  • In the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, students who progress to the next year with a class average or higher will continue receive the scholarship at 100% in the following year.
Situations Where the Scholarship Will Be Paid at 80%
  • For students with a GPA between 2.00 and 2.49, the scholarship will be paid at 80% in the following year (except for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry). (In cases of repetition, the scholarship support is reduced by 20 points for each occurrence.)
  • In the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, students advancing to the next year with a GPA lower than the class average will receive the scholarship at 80%. (In cases of repetition, the scholarship support is reduced by 20 points for each occurrence.)
Situations Where the Scholarship Will Be Paid at 50%
  • For students with a GPA below 2.00, the scholarship will be paid at 50% in the following year (except for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry). (In cases of repetition, the scholarship support is reduced by 20 points for each occurrence.)
  • In the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, in case of failure, the scholarship will be paid at 50% in the following year. (In cases of repetition, the scholarship support is reduced by 20 points for each occurrence.)
Situations Where the Scholarship Will Be Terminated
  • The scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to renew their registration or has excessive absenteeism.
