Necmettin Erbakan University Development Foundation "Neva" Has Been Established

Necmettin Erbakan University Development Foundation (NEVA), whose field of activity is to improve the education and training opportunities of our university, has been established with the aim of a strong understanding of civil society that will provide material aid and spiritual support to the human capital that will build our future.

NEVA, which will add value to the development of our university in terms of education, training, health, culture, arts, sports, science, as well as social, economic, and physical aspects, will also provide financial support to students both from home and abroad who need economic support and will offer them opportunities for education and training.

Giving information about the establishment and activities of the foundation, our Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu stated that “We are the descendants of a strong foundation civilization. Next to the public, we believe that our businessmen, intellectuals, and opinion leaders should take responsibility in development and transformation attempts in cooperation with the public and support the human capital of our future within the body of a non-governmental organization. With this purpose in mind, the process which we gave a start in 2019 matured over time and sprang to life as Necmettin Erbakan University Development Foundation (NEVA) at the beginning of 2021 with the support of our city's leadership team, opinion leaders, businessmen and scientists. It is an undeniable fact that foundations have always had a pioneering service in the development of universities. In this sense, I would like to express my gratitude towards the leadership team and trade leaders of our city, having a high level of awareness concerning civil society. We were highly pleased that the vision we put forward for our university, city, and country aroused excitement in the presence of our community partners and we were honoured that the proposition was embraced. Briefly, we accomplished the establishment of our foundation by founding a strong and dedicated management. I supplicate to my Lord to render good services."

Rector Zorlu who stated that NEVA will show a maximum effort to make a contribution to increasing the skill level of the human resources that will secure our future in the fields of education, training and practice, as well as culture and arts continued his statement: “We will promote activities aimed at raising scientists and the scientists of the future who will selflessly work for the welfare of our society, and at increasing their capacity to produce and use knowledge. We will serve to the constitution of the intellectual breakthrough riches of our future by engaging in a variety of activities in such fields as infrastructure, technology, projects, accommodation, and scholarships, which are indispensable for education and training.”

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cem Zorlu will hold the presidency of the foundation, which acts according to the motto: "Unconditional Support to the Human Capital of the Future". NEVA's board of trustees includes:

NEVA Scholarship for Necmettin Erbakan University Students

 
Thanks to a socially responsible approach shown by our academic and administrative staff and their voluntary contributions, scholarships have been given to our students in need for two academic years.
 
As of this year, the process of granting scholarships to our students will be carried out by Necmettin Erbakan University Development Foundation. Current scholarship activity is expected to increasingly continue to act this year under the auspices and coordination of NEVA. For this purpose, a limited number of students will benefit from scholarship opportunities in the light of particular criteria and based on available financial resources. Those who want to participate in the scholarship support project among academic and administrative staff should contact the management of academic unit they are in to order automatic payment.
 
Giving automatic payment order and informing management of academic unit about the automatic payment order are crucial factors for the sustainability of scholarship work, reaching out more students in need and managing the process more efficiently.
 
Those who want to provide support without automatic payment order can also submit their donations.
